Checking the weather forecast yesterday, indicated an overnight low of 38, and a high for today of 55!!  The weather forecast did not lie.  We slept through the night as storms rolled through Lake Louise.  The storms were on the leading edge of a cold front moving into the area.

We arose to rain and 40 degrees !!   In case you were wondering, not real enjoyable on a bike :)  Since our ride would take us through the mountains in the park, we were a little concerned about black ice on the roads at higher elevations.  So, we hung around the hotel until about 10:30, which allowed the temps to increase to about 48 degrees.

We suited up in our rain gear, loaded the bike and trailer, and headed off.  As we traveled through the park (about 50 miles) we had some light to moderate rain, not too bad.  As we eventually neared the US border at Idaho, the skies got pretty black and dumped some rain on us one more time.  Once into Idaho, the clouds broke, the sun poked out, and it was smooth sailing into Coeur d'Alene Idaho.

With the weather, we took very few pictures today.  So, you'll have to be happy with a road sign, and a shot of our hotel for today :)

Tomorrow we will head to Clarkston Washington, and spend some time traveling the back mountain roads of Idaho.

Our stats for today indicate that we covered 327 miles, bringing our trip total to 2815 miles.  It took us about 8.5 hours, including gas and food stops to get to Coeur d'Alene Idaho.  Below is a map of our route from today.
