Day-18 Jul-25-09

Well, the trip is now complete. We arrived home on Saturday evening at around 7 PM. For those that wished us dry weather, we thank you, as it worked out pretty well. We got up in the morning and checked the radar, and there was a front with a fairly large set a storm cells just to our east. The front was heading east, so we were able to tuck in behind it, and ride dry just about all the way home. We did end up wearing our rain gear, as the sky looked threatening all day. Eventually, around Columbus Ohio, we did get some drizzle, but nothing that impacted our ride. The drizzle kept up until we reached the Medina Ohio area, then it was dry riding the rest of the way home! Today's route took us through Indianapolis, Dayton, Columbus, then home, and was roughly 500 miles. It took us about 9 hours, with stops.

It's nice to be back home !!

I would like to thank my parents for looking after our cats and our house while we were gone. And I would like to thank my Dad for mowing our grass, so I did not come home and have to "bale hay" !! :)

Here's a link to our final route map. It is in google, so you can zoom and pan...
