Day-7 Sep-11-09

Today we rode from Burlington VT to Plattsburgh NY. We covered 253 miles.

Our ride today took us across Lake Champlain, and back into upstate New York. We spent most of the day riding through the Adirondacks. We traveled through the Saranac and Tupper Lake areas. There are tons of little lakes sprinkled all through the Adirondacks. Nothing real exciting to report, as today was just a scenic travel day. The weather has continued to stay nice, but tomorrow looks like some rain may come our way.

We did see a reasonable sized wind farm in the upper Adirondack park, near the Canadian border.

Here are a couple of shots Lennie took while riding...

Some self portraits...

And one of me. I never thought about it before, but these helmets, from the side, make us look like aliens. Does anyone remember the Japanese superhero character Ultraman? Our helmets viewed from the side remind me of his head :)

Tomorrow we head over to Lake Placid. There should be some neat sites to see, I just hope the rain stays away.
