Looks like one more day of dodging storms to get home.

We woke up early this morning in anticipation of our last 4-5 hour ride to get home.  Of course another storm front was just passing through.  It had previously dumped 3 inches of rain on Chicago and caused flash flooding, including the closure of I90 near Chicago.  We were now on the tail end of the front, so we waited a short while and then headed out hoping to trail the front and stay dry.

Our plan worked out well.  By the time we reached Elyria Ohio, we caught up with the rain, so we stopped for fuel and a little lunch.  An hour later the front had continued to the east, and we had a smooth and dry ride the remainder of the way home.

One last fuel stop at the local Sheetz and we are back at home in our driveway where it all began three weeks ago.

We never took time on the road to clean up the dirty bike, so this is 23 days of bug and road grime...   not too bad.

The cooler gets a lot of road grime because it sits right behind the rear tire.

We back the bike and trailer into the garage for unloading, and the trip is officially over :(

Over the weekend, I will get a final update completed with our overall travel map and stats.

Info for today indicates that we covered 275 miles, bringing our trip total to 6675 miles.  Below is a map of our route from today.
