Sadly, our trip to the East coast is complete. We had a great time, saw a lot of wonderful sights, and had reasonably good weather. We also knocked all those little pesky East coast states off of our "all states" list, leaving us with only 4 states to go in the lower 48 !
Here are just a few of the things we encountered along the way - flooding, lots of traffic, a mega yacht, D.C. Monuments, lots of D.C. security on 9-11, the giant LL Bean boot, and of course who can forget Red's Eats.
Overall, the trip was a success.
Here's what's left for the summer of 2012, Florida and Arkansas for one trip, with Nevada and California as a second trip!
Here is our final map for the trip. This map includes the complete route from actual GPS track files. Like other google maps, you can zoom, pan, and change map type.
The final route mileage was 2311 miles.
